Workshop Mission: Understanding unconscious bias and associated emotions to challenge assumptions

– What emotions are emerging when you face racism or watch racist behaviors?
– What will you do with those emotions?
– What unconscious biases have you become aware of?
– How can building emotions intelligence help you to fight racism?
Hear a story of a couple’s experience of racism and their resilient inner strength.
Outcomes:
- Tips to address your unconscious biases and assumptions
- Understand the neuroscience of emotions to build new neurons
- Know your triggers to stay present in conversation
- Understand the difference between tolerance, acceptance, discrimination and inclusion behaviors
- Understand your role in fighting against racism
This is an online experiential workshop conducted through zoom using breakout rooms discussions, polling questions using audio and video.
